About Daryl
Daryl Pass is the founder and CEO of New Beginnings Recovery Mission, a growing recovery community with locations currently in Elgin, IL. He advocates for recovery programming across Chicago and the northwest suburbs of Chicago; he is a member of the Elk Grove Village Cares Committee and board member of Bridging
the Gap, a program that connects individuals who’ve recently completed in patient treatment and the formerly incarcerated with recovery support services. Daryl also serves as the Manager of Recovery Support Services at Kenneth Young Center, a 50 year community service nonprofit organization which serves the NW suburbs of Chicagoland.
Daryl has firsthand experience navigating the road of recovery in our community. He stands as a mentor and now leader in the recovery field as a Recovery Coach, Recovery Support Specialist, and a Certified Interventionist; since June, 2012, Daryl has lived a life free of substance use and addictive behaviors. Having struggled 30+ years using substances, with 23+ of those years as a daily heroin abuser, Daryl works every day to recover and advocate for individuals who still struggle. He has a mission to be purposeful in decreasing stigma and increasing knowledge surrounding substance use and co-occurring issues. Being intentional in his efforts through New Beginnings Recovery Mission, Daryl serves as a vessel assisting individuals as they navigate the road of connecting with their families and community while embracing sobriety and moving along the path of recovery.
